Tirzepatide Injections

Tirzepatide is a medication designed to help with blood sugar management in people with type 2 diabetes. It’s a type of drug called a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist and is the first medication in the GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist drug class, per the FDA.

Tirzepatide works similarly to Ozempic (Semaglutide), but also targets GIP receptors, in addition to GLP-1 receptors.
